In honor of their new exhibit, Geckos: Tails to Toepads I have been given a family four pack of tickets to COSI to give away to one lucky reader! With these tickets you can explore the entire museum AND check out the new Gecko exhibit! How cool is that?!?!
Here's a bit about the new exhibit:
Enjoy the most charismatic reptiles on earth when COSI (The Center of Science and Industry) opens Geckos: Tails to Toepads on January 15, 2011. This traveling exhibition is the largest and most advanced of its kind, introducing visitors to the remarkable diversity of these lizards through bold back lighted graphics, engaging interactive displays and living examples from around the world. It will be showing through May 8, 2011.
Challenge any of the 14 species displayed to a staring contest and chances are, the gecko will win. Most geckos can't blink and like snakes, they have a transparent scale covering the eye, but no moveable eyelids. Why are Geckos so fascinating, irresistible and captivating to audiences? Whether it's their bulging eyes, ‘sticky’ toepads, squawking voices, or disposable body parts - visitors will be their own judge when they explore this fascinating interactive zoological exhibition.
"We are thrilled to have Geckos: Tails to Toepads at COSI. We chose the Geckos exhibit as a great way to showcase life science as well as the emerging science of biomimcry where we can learn from the nature to solve human problems. And these creatures are incredibly intriguing and beautiful, they will appeal to all ages” said David Chesebrough, COSI President and CEO.
Highlights of Geckos: Tails to Toepads include:
• A hands-on, minds-on adventure! Visitors can experience gecko night vision, listen to gecko voices, try to spot camouflaged geckos, and build a custom gecko for various environments.
• The gecko habitats re-create natural environments in astonishing detail. State-of-the-art controls provide lighting, humidity, temperature, and water quality to meet the needs of these delicate creatures.
• An exploration of all aspects of geckos: biology, natural history, their role in human cultures, their importance to ecosystems, and the potential they hold for bio-technology.

Hi Katie! I would love to win these tickets! We have never been to COSI and would love to find out how great it is!
I already like you on Facebook...does that count?
I posted a link to your blog/contest on my Facebook wall...Hope you get some new visitors!
Oh boy! COSI was always a favorite destination of mine when I was a kid. My Girl Scout troop used to go up every year for the Girl Scout Overnight, and it was always a blast.
We've actually been thinking about taking Trinity and Gabe for a trip to Columbus to visit the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium; maybe we'll make it an overnight, and head to COSI, too!
I just spread the word about your contest via my Facebook status. :)
And like Katy B, I already like "the little things" page on Facebook.
COSI has been on my list! Passes would be just the thing.

Look for your bump from me on FB.
Oh, I will be posting this and send this on for sure!
We would love to go on vacation to Cosi! As you know, being a mother of young children doesn't afford a lot of opportunities for a vacation. And I'm sure that we could find the time for a free give-away one! Fingers crossed!
I like it!

Hubby and kids have been dying to go to COSI forever now, we just can't seem to find the time and money put together for a day trip. This would rock!!!

Hi, I would love these tickets! I have to go out of town for work for half of my kids' spring break! I would love to take them to CoSci before I leave. It would help with my mommy guilt!! And I know my two "science geeks" would love this!

My husband has been telling how much fun he had at COSI and how our son would love it (since we had our son awhile ago) when he went in Elementary school and he still talks about it. We've been wanting to take him up there but one thing or another happens and we have to spend the money on repairs. appreciate the chance. Thanks Charis Oglesbee
