last week we went away for a few days to
kentucky dam village state resort park, which is in western kentucky, very near the
land between the lakes. it is a beautiful area full of woods, water and wildlife. we explored the area a bit, but most importantly, we spent time relaxing and just being together. it was so nice to leave technology and to-do lists behind for a few days.
we swam in the lake
we ate noodles
we saw cool animals at a wildlife preserve
we read lots of books
we went for walks in the woods
some of us went for walks on mama's back
we checked under bridges for trolls
we greeted each day with a smile
and most importantly we savored the peace, quiet and togetherness

Lovely pictures! This looks like a fun trip! Ella looks slightly less impressed than her brothers by the animals at the wildlife preserve. And that picture of the Prince with his noodles is adorable.
