White Pizza with Lemon Basil & Grilled Chicken

Lemon Basil is one of my all-time favorite fresh summer herbs, and lucky for me I always get plenty of lemon basil in my CSA!  In the past I've done several different things with the lemon basil, my favorite being the Lemon Basil Chicken over Pasta.  But since I've been on such a pizza kick lately, I wanted to create a pizza using the lemon basil.  It was easy to put together, and so delicious!

Ingredients ::

**For the Base (instead of traditional sauce), mix together: 2 Tbs. Olive Oil; 2 heaping
spoonfuls of minced garlic, 1 tsp. Oregano, and 1 tsp. Lemon Juice

Pizza Dough for one crust (this is the recipe I use - awesome)
1.5 cups Grilled Chicken chopped into pieces
Shredded Cheese (I used Mozzarella and a fab Italian Blend)
1/2 cup Chopped Onions
1/4 cup Shredded Lemon Basil

How to put the pizza together:
Preheat oven to 450, warming the pizza stone in the oven while it preheats.  Roll out the dough to your liking, sprinkle a bit of corn meal on the stone, then place your dough on the stone.  Spoon the oil/garlic/oregano mix over the crust, spreading evenly up to about an inch from the edge of the crust.  Then top with Lemon Basil, cheese, and finish with chicken and onions.  Bake about 10 or 15 minutes, until pizza is finished.  Then ENJOY!

Here's what the pizza looked like right before I popped it in the oven:
You can hardly see the basil, but it's there...spread all over the oil, hidden under the cheese.

And here's what it looked like after I cooked it:
