Today is what is known as Dia De Muertos, or "Day of the Dead" in Mexico. This is the time that families come together to pray for friends and family members who have died. It is, in my opinion, a beautiful way to celebrate and remember those who are no longer with us. Sugar skulls play a large role in these celebrations, as they are given up as offerings to those who have died, and also given as gifts amongst the living.
